A RIOTOUS tour through the Bard's bawdy bits is being made at Cheltenham Everyman's The Other Space.
Shakespeare's Bottom, a new comedy by Cheltenham playwright Alec Hamilton, focuses on siblings Thomas and Harriet Bowdler, who decided to publish a "family Shakespeare" - without the rude bits - in 1807. In the play they come back from the dead to put the excised parts back in and, en route, meet a range of literary figures, not to mention a highly-sexed Cornish widow and a French revolutionary!
Performances are from next Wednesday until November 25 and there are weekend, but it is not suitable for children. Booking: 01242 572573.
