100 years ago - November 17, 1900
EVESHAM: Town hall and library improvements - The matter had been before the committee on several occasions and some progress had been made. The resolution that was proposed and carried applying to borrow £10,500 for the improvements had been responded to by the local government board but the nature of their reply was such that the committee were unable to deal with it in such a way as to make a formal report that day.
75 years ago - November 14, 1925
REMEMBRANCE: Armistice Anniversary. Another Armistice has come and gone and again. The fact has been borne out that although it is seven years since the 'cease fire' was sounded, the greater part of the population of the Empire remember those who sacrificed so much.
50 years ago - November 18, 1950
EVESHAM: Garden memorial: The newly finished garden of rest and remembrance in Abbey Park, a memorial to the townspeople who fell in the last war, was lashed by rain during the opening ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
25 years ago - November 20, 1975
EVESHAM: Eckington will not get traffic lights on the river bridge after all.
