BUOYANT Hereford Rugby Club welcome high-flying Broadstreet to Belvadere Lane on Saturday hoping to continue their impressive Midland One form.

Andy Douthwaite's side face the third-placed team on the back of two consecutive league wins which has seen them rocket up the table.

They are now comfortably placed in seventh with six points - a good recovery after their disastrous start left them stranded at the bottom.

Last Saturday's 15-9 win at Stoke came after their victory over Newbold and skipper Jason Lewis has no doubts about the reasons behind the sudden change in form.

He said: "We have changed our game-plan completely and we are now playing to our strengths. We are playing a much tighter game now and not throwing the ball around for the sake of it.

"Andy's coaching has made a big difference to us and the confidence is at a real high at present.

"A win on Saturday will put us in a good position in the league and at the moment the games cannot come quickly enough."

Hereford make three changes to the side which beat Stoke. Out goes former Rugby Lions star John Jenkins due to work commitments while Cieron Griffiths and Ian Lively are on holiday. Andy Johnson replaces Jenkins while Pete Evans and Stuart Houton come in for Lively and Griffiths.

Droitwich, meanwhile, travel to National Division Three side Stourbridge to face their third team after a weekend 11-5 win over Cleobury Mortimer saw them go one point clear in Midlands Four West (South).

The Memorial Ground side make three changes with Ian Williams coming in at prop for the rested Paul Bowditch, former skipper Rob Bray returning to the second row in place of the injured Dave Mann and Roy Walters replacing Leon Hopkins on the wing.
