KIDDERMINSTER Carolians recorded their second win in Midlands Three West (North) with a convincing 30-3 home success over Birmingham Exiles.

They rarely let their opponents into the match after the visitors had opened the scoring with a fourth-minute penalty.

KCs went ahead in the 13th minute with a try for winger Eddie Ross, converted from near the touchline by Andy McLellan who added two penalties to give KCs a 13-3 half-time lead.

It only took two minutes of the second half for KCs to increase that lead through Ambrogio Neri.

McLellan set up a move following a scrum, then captain Adrian Taft made 50 yards before putting Neri over.

KCs were far more confident than in recent weeks and obviously enjoyed being able to play their trademark rugby from seasons past.

Simon Northcott, recalled to the first team, scored the third try and five minutes from time the in-form Jason Sunderland added the fourth.

McLellan rounded off a good performance with the conversion.

Birmingham Exiles 2nds 0 KCs 2nds 33

Veteran prop Peter Jordan was outstanding as KCs achieved an excellent result in appalling conditions.

They led 23-0 at half-time with tries for Carl Robinson, Barry Turner and acting captain Dave Horne plus two penalties and a conversion by Tom Oakes.

In the second half, playing against the elements, KCs had to put up a strong defence but still added two more tries - through Turner and Horne.

KCs 3rds 0 Birmingham Wyvern 26

The 3rds clash proved a bit of a mis-match as only Matthew Rigsby showed any signs of reducing the deficit.

KCs 4ths 48 Stourport 4ths 5

KCs scored eight tries through James Lloyd Jones (three), Tim Carder, Dave Bambury (two each) and Steve Breakwell, who also kicked four conversions.

Mickey Parker was the lone Stourport scorer.

KCs U-17s 26 Kenilworth 17

Andy Butler scored his second try in the final minutes of the match to secure victory for the U-17s.

Kidderminster went 5-0 behind to an early Kenilworth try but, following a kick ahead, Butler scored under the posts and Tom Scandrett added the conversion.

A good break from Lloyd James, along with another Scandrett conversion, meant that KCs were 14-5 ahead at the break.

A further try from winger Phil Howes stretched the lead but two tries from the visitors meant the score was 19-17 with 10 minutes to go.

In the final minutes of the match, Butler scored his second and Scandrett again converted to give KCs another victory.

KCs U-15s 0 Moseley 57

With several key players missing from the Kidderminster squad, they could not match the powerful Moseley team.

Despite heroic defending by Richard Bradley, Laurence Round, Richard Knight and Peter Worn, Moseley were 24-0 ahead at half-time and they built on their lead in the second half.
