Ferndale Flyers gave a determined performance as they beat Meadow Park 6-2 in the Stourport and District Youth League U-12 Girls Division.
Flyers ignored the heavy pitch conditions, giving their best display yet with four goals from player of the day Kirsty Hughes and two by Robyn Corfield.
Ferndale Girls always struggled against Cannock Chasers in the Central Warwickshire Under-14 Girls League and lost 5-3 to the team they knocked out of the League Cup.
Nikola Palmer opened the scoring for Ferndale and later reduced the deficit to 3-2.
Increased pressure ensured their opponents' victory although Sam Rogers grabbed a third.
