IT would appear all Lanes lead to black belt after one Bewdley family saw their third member reach the coveted grade in judo.
Rod Lane has been promoted to first dan to join his daughter Ali and son Stuart at Samurai Judo Club.
Stuart and Ali started judo 15 years ago and have won over 100 medals between them, including a British national bronze for the latter.
Rod, now a senior referee and qualified coach, has since won the Spirit of Judo Award at the New Town Games with the successful Wyre Forest team.
Stuart won the British Kata Championships in Gonosen No Kata, a tricky slow-motion technique, and silver in Goshin Jitsu.
Mother Rose is not left out because she is now a senior tournament director.
