PHYSIOTHERPISTS, aromatherapists, acupuncturists and just about anyone who could mend a bad back gathered together at Stratford Leisure Centre on Saturday as part of a national drive to stop pains in the back.
An incredible 120 million working days are lost every year in the UK to workers suffering from back pain and musculoskeletal problems and Stratford District Council organised the Pain in the Back Show to get employers and employees to sit up and listen to the risks.
The event, which coincided with back pain week, and showed visitors how to avoid back pain and, when it is too late, how to ease the ache using traditional and alternative techniques.
"We would have liked to see a few more employers attending the event, but it was still a success," said organiser Nancy Singleton. "We had a good range of practitioners there and the feedback we had was excellent."
