COUNCIL bosses have scotched rum-ours that drainage works in Rubery have been scrapped.
Worcestershire County Council confirmed on Friday it is poised to sign the contract for the construction of Holywell Primary School, in Gunner Lane.
Bosses have pledged the work will be completed by 2001 and said because of the complex nature of the project, the drainage will be undertaken as a separate contract after building works have been completed.
Drainage works are expected to be finished by the summer of 2003.
