POLICE in the Vale are warning vehicle owners to be extra vigilant after a spate of vandalism involving parked cars and vans.

PC Tom Iddon, of Evesham police, said there had been about 10 reports of criminal damage to parked vehicles in Evesham, Pershore, Broadway and surrounding villages in the past week, leaving vehicles owners with a combined repair bill of more than £700.

He said someone threw a brick through the windscreen of a Renault 21 parked outside the Broadway Hotel in Broadway on Monday night, while other vehicles had their tyres slashed and stabbed or locks or wing mirrors damaged.
