NEW mum and town Tory MP Julie Kirkbride has thanked constituents for their kindness as she and baby Angus were snapped together in Bromsgrove for the first time.

Mother and son were in the town at the weekend for the Remembrance Sunday parade.

The tot was born on October 12 and the event was pencilled in as the first time he and his mum would visit the area since the birth.

Ms Kirkbride and husband Andrew MacKay, who is Shadow Northern Ireland Secretary, have been inundated with more than 200 cards and presents following their new arrival.

She said: "I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of people in Bromsgrove since the birth of Angus.

"I am pleased to say both mummy and baby are doing very well but the whole experience has been enhanced by the thoughtfulness of my constituents.

"It has been a wonderful time."
