ALVECHURCH manager Mick Preece could field a new-look striker force for Saturday's Birmingham County Vase trip to Division Two side Enville Athletic (ko 2pm).
Preece has completed the signing of striker Adam Ryder from Premier rivals Northfield Town and taken Redditch United prospect James Burke on loan but he is waiting to see whether Burke is cup-tied.
The teenage striker is eligible for the Vase as long as he did not feature in Redditch's FA Cup defeat to Belper.
Burke has been farmed out from the Valley in a bid for match fitness and Preece took advantage of a weather-enforced break to complete the acquisition of Ryder who he scouted playing for his Festival Sunday League side.
Saturday's trip to Massey Ferguson was rained off and a mix-up over the Rameses Midland Invitation Cup visit of Warley has put the tie back weeks.
Alvechurch officials agreed to play the match last night (Tuesday) but the Banks's League big-spenders failed to rearrange a league match tonight and the Lye Meadow side do not have a break in their midweek programme until the first week of December.
Church visit Bromsgrove Rovers reserves in the Worcestershire Senior Urn on Wednesday (ko 7.30pm) with the winners earning a home tie against Midland Alliance outfit Stourbridge.
The planned trip to Northfield Town has been postponed.
Defender Paul Stevens has joined Midland Comb Division One side Polesworth North Warwick in a bid for first team football.
