MEMBERS of the Redditch branch met with other Worcestershire branches in Droitwich at the new centre attached to The Church of the Sacred Heart.
The meeting was co-ordinated by Mrs V Salt, who represents this area at England and Wales HQ in London.
Mrs McFarlane and Captain Mrs Carley led members through the service, which was compiled by women of Samoa on ''Informed prayer, prayerful action''.
Members were given a brief history of these islands, the reasons for the Bible readings chosen and explanations of unusual hymns and practices.
This worldwide service will take place on the first Friday in March.
In Redditch, there will be two services; the afternoon one will be in St Stephen's Church, when Rev David Rogers will be speaker.
The evening service will be at St Philip's in Webheath, when Mrs Christine Stringer will be speaker.
The mayor has accepted an invitation to attend the evening service.
Mrs Salt is leaving her post as county co-ordinator and Mrs McFarlane of Droitwich has agreed to undertake this important job.
Next year, the county conference will take place in Evesham.
