STUDLEY'S Blue and White Rope Skippers won an award for their contribution to sport after a good showing at the European Masters Championships.
Six Studley stars qualified for the individual event at Greiskirchen, Austria, and four of them recorded personal bests despite being younger than most of their rivals.
And their achievements won them the Millennium Shield of Achievement which was presented to club chairman Chris Dale at Studley Viallge Hall.
It is the dedication of not only the skippers, but the coach Sue Dale, committee members, parents and generosity of the people of Studley and Redditch, which enabled the club to achieve their objectives, he said.
The skippers are a wonderful group of people and it is a pleasure to represent them, he added.
