HEADLESS Cross tennis star Pauline Fisher has been crowned World Veterans Doubles champion.
The 48-year-old teacher teamed up with Mansfield's Ann Brown to lift the world over 45s title in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Fisher, a PE teacher at Haybridge High School, Hagley, repeated her doubles success at Nottingham two years ago and helped Great Britain to sixth in the team event in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The tennis ace was competing in her fifth world veterans finals and her globetrotting has taken her to Johannesburg, Salzburg and Amsterdam.
Barnt Green Tennis Club member Fisher helped Great Britain to fourth in Salzburg and wants to better that when the World Championships return to Austria next year.
If I can do well again at the hard court championships in Bournemouth in May I want to play for Britain again, said the world champ.
Fisher is heading for the national veterans over 40s team event to represent Barnt Green at Nottingham Tennis Centre in a fortnight.
