A SCHOOLBOY will meet his favourite TV stars when he becomes a VIP for a day.

Seven-year-old Harry Taylor will help light up Kidderminster when he throws the switch on the Christmas lights.

Harry, from Blakedown, is the winner of a Shuttle/Times & News competition to help the Mayor of Kidderminster, Nigel Knowles, and TV favourites The Rugrats to switch on the lights at the town hall. He will be joined by his sister, Sarah, five, and brother, Benjamin, three.

Their mother, Carina, said: "Harry is really excited. He is a great fan of The Rugrats and is looking forward to the event".

As a souvenir of his big day, Harry will be presented with a framed photograph of himself with The Rugrats.

Angelica, Tommy and Chuckie will be mingling with crowds of shoppers at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

The big switch-on takes place on Saturday, November 25, at 4.30pm and will be followed by the Three Kings parade through the town.

Other seasonal attractions include a craft fair, ice skating rink and street entertainment provided by the Kidderminster Town Centre Partnership.
