AMONG the less obvious dangers of flooding realised just in time by one Bewdley resident was the threat to his fish.
Retired Load Street home-owner and keen gardener Hugh Morgan feared a flooded fish pond might provide his prize golden orfe and other exotic carp with an easy escape route.
So he quickly constructed a frame and net to cover the pond and as river levels rose, his fish were trapped beneath.
