A BUSY mum-of-three has proved her talents stretch far beyond cooking and cleaning.
Housewife Gill Leighton, of Rose Avenue, has proudly opened an exhibition of her work at Droitwich Spa Library, in Victoria Square.
Although she enjoyed art at school, it was not until 1995 that Gill was able to take it up seriously.
She has attended a number of instructional courses ranging from ceramics and pottery to watercolour, which reflects in her display.
Droitwich born and bred, Gill has a keen interest in Spa history and her collection features the town now and in bygone years.
She said: "My ambition is to work in conjunction with commerce and industry.
"I feel by working on a larger scale, I could provide boardrooms, retail outlets and offices not only with a piece of art that reflects their ethos and ambience but is also an investment."
Gill's exhibition ends on Thursday November 30.
MUM'S THE WORD: Gill Leighton shows off a painting of Droitwich Spa's Heritage Statue, in Victoria Square.
