I AM writing with regard to last week's letters regarding Mr Lock's comments in the aftermath of the Prime Minister's visit to Bewdley.

Of course the voters of Wyre Forest have every right to remove Mr Lock from office at the next election if they so wish, because of his perceived connection with the downgrading of Kidderminster Hospital.

However, they should also consider the consequences of replacing Mr Lock with a "jump on the bandwagon" Tory who conveniently overlooks the fact that it was the previous Conservative Government which presided when departments of Kidderminster Hospital were closed down in the early 1990s.
