AS reported in your November 2 issue, during a Bewdley Town Council planning meeting it was brought to our attention that a planning application before us had originally been marked for a delegated decision.
This application was fully discussed by us and it was decided to recommend refusal on a number of planning grounds.
In your Letters Page on November 9 we were amazed to see a letter from the applicant of the planning application attacking town council members because we dared to question why an important planning application was in the first instance put down for a delegated decision.
The applicant Councillor Frank Baillie accused us of political point-scoring and sour grapes!
Councillor Baillie has now cast a doubt on our integrity and we feel that he should apologise for his unwarranted and insulting outburst.
