WHEN the flat-topped houses on Wilden Top were condemned, the residents were re-housed, the estate demolished and rebuilt.
Isn't it time Bewdley cut its losses by rehousing the tenants on the river front, flooring the properties on flood level and using them for holiday flats and business ventures?
It would stop compensation on the floodings which will predominate the future and the possibility of insurance companies refusing cover.
Tenants should be warned of this.
Flood barriers are precarious as they do create watersheds and water seeps up through drains.
