REDDITCH police have announced a breakthrough in their ongoing operations to tackle the problem of drug abuse in the town.
Vital information from concerned residents in Crabbs Cross led police to arrest three men for drugs offences around the area of Banners Lane.
Police carried out surveillance operations and gathered information before seizing cannabis resin with a street value of £600.
Sgt Andy Chinn, of Redditch police, said: "This operation and the subsequent arrest leading to the seizure of controlled drugs was as a direct result of the concerns of people in the Crabbs Cross area.
''They contacted Redditch police and supplied information which was vital to the success of the operation."
Sgt Chinn said police were continuing to target drug dealers across the whole of Redditch.
Anyone who has any information can call Redditch police on 584888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
