Given the years of experience Disney has in producing entertaining products for children, you would expect this to be a top-quality compilation.
Promoted as an opportunity "to meet all your Disney friends, the Family Treasury consists of brief extracts from Disney's movie tales, grouped under headings such as family and honesty and integrity.
The stories are too short, really. You tend to have to read about six extracts before you feel any real sense of narrative.
And you have to know the movie plot quite well before the extracts make any real sense.
But, if your child is a Disney fan, they will enjoy seeing their favourite characters on the printed page and take pleasure in the familiarity of the tales. A good Christmas gift.
