THIRTY-TWO organisations from Worcestershire and Herefordshire have been recognised for their business achievements by one of Europe's leading business gurus.

More than 200 delegates attended Creating The Edge, a day-long conference designed to celebrate Investors in People.

Professor Ken Robinson, author of the Government's Robinson Report on Creativity, started the proceedings with a discussion about the importance of creativity in education, after which organisations who continue to meet the Investors in People standard were celebrated.

"This event was about celebrating success, challenging perceptions about creativity in business and to give recognition to those organisations who have been assessed and managed to keep the Investors in People Standard," said Craig Robinson, of Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce.

"A number of the 32 organisations have been recognised as Investors in People since the standard began in 1991. This alone is a significant achievement given the constant change in the business environment over the last decade."

Creating the Edge was sponsored by The Leadership Trust from Ross-on-Wye and Wythall-based Britannic Assurance at the Chamber Court Conference Centre in Worcester.
