CONSERVATIVE county councillors were surprised to see both the Prime Minister and his Deputy touring the county's floods this week.
Perhaps they came to see self-help and good housekeeping under adversity by local people - they did, after all, cut the Counties Emergency Planning budget this year by £41,000.
We will be interested to see if they return those cuts under the guise of new money for flood relief.

Leader of the Conservative Group.
