KIDDERMINSTER Carolians Rugby Club triumphed 30-3 in their Midlands Three West North victory over Birmingham Exiles at Marl-pool Lane.

It was only the second league win of the season for KCs, but a very convincing one.

Exiles are a poor shadow of their former selves and apart from their fourth minute penalty never really looked like testing the home side.

KCs went into a 13 minute lead with a nice try from winger Eddie Ross.

Andy McLellan kicked a good conversion from out near the touchline.

He added two penalties to give KCs a 13- 3 lead at half time.

It took only two minutes of the new half to increase that lead.

McLellan set up a move following a scrum and skipper Adrian Taft made 50 yards before putting Ambro Neri over.

Had there not been some over elaboration KCs might have increased their try count, but they looked more confident than they have for some weeks and were obviously enjoying being able to play the type of rugby that has been the norm in recent seasons.

Simon Northott, recalled to the first team, scored the third try, and five minutes from time the in- form Jason Sunderland added a fourth.

McLellan rounded off a good performance with a conversion.

Not all the problems have been solved but the spirit is on the up and a more settled side is showing a vast improvement.
