WHAT a fascinating insight was given by Brian Hunt (You Say, November 3) into the "Independent" view of ward-representation.
St Barnabas Labour Councillors "respond to the welfare" of all the several thousand people in the ward, not just to that of those who voted for them.
This was a very revealing slip on Mr Hunt's part. But then, his claim that Independents "listen to all the people" (whatever that might mean when "people" disagree, as they usually do) was always a cynical con and a sham.
