WORCESTER Rugby Club are expecting to be cheered on by up to 1,000 travelling supporters when they take on Saracens tomorrow in their Tetley Bitter Cup tie at Watford (3pm).

Media officer Nicola Goodwin said the club had been inundated with inquiries after Worcester booked their place in the fifth round tie at Vicarage Road with the 76-12 win at Tynedale last Saturday.

Worcester are expecting to take four coach-loads down to Watford and many more Sixways fans, based outside of the city, have e-mailed the club to say they will be there at the weekend.

Goodwin said: "The interest has been huge. I think some supporters were disappointed that the game was on a Sunday, but the interest has grown and grown.

"As well as the four coaches, many supporters have got together and are taking their own mini-buses.

"I think everyone is excited because they think we have a good chance of winning. Anyone watching the Cardiff game will know that Saracens are beatable.

"They also have a few injury problems at the moment, so you never know!"

The Worcester Ladies player has also been swamped by media attention this week in the build-up to the tasty tie.

She said: "There is a big media interest because, in terms of league positions at present, it is the number one National League Division One side facing the best side in the Premiership.

"As a cup tie you couldn't wish for a better ingredient."

She added: "The feeling around the club this week is that the players could do it. They are all quietly confident of winning at Saracens."
