THERE'S something for everyone at Malvern Cinema this week. The main feature is What Lies Beneath (15) starring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Robert Zemeckis directs this Hitchcockian supernatural thriller, with Pfeiffer gradually coming to realise that her house is haunted. It's on daily at 7.30pm (except Wednesday), with a Wednesday matinees at 3pm.

At 7.45pm on Wednesday is The Straight Story (15), based on a true tale. Directed by David Lynch, it stars Richard Farnsworth as Alvin Straight, who spent over six weeks driving across America on his ride-on lawnmower to see his sick brother.

Veteran actor Farnsworth missed out on winning a Best Actor Oscar for the role to Kevin Spacey, who nabbed it for his American Beauty role. Sadly, he died last month, shooting himself to escape the pain of terminal cancer.

Dinosaur (PG) is an animated tale of heroism and friendship in Cretaceous times. It's on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.
