I WOULD like to thank the Evening News and Paul Stammers for reporting my calls to give information regarding Pitchcroft Park.
This matter was of great concern to myself and others. We now have clarification and assurance that this park will indeed remain free and somewhere we can roam and enjoy in the future.
If it had not been for people power, the council would have lost one of our lovely parks - Cripplegate - to a supermarket. We must stand up for the right to save our heritage.
I have lived in Worcester all my life, and, over the years, I have seen the destruction that has been caused in the city.
We have lost our history. There only remain books and cards to remind us how beautiful Worcester was years ago.
JEAN M TURNER,
Cranham Drive,
Warndon,
Worcester.
