THE curtain has fallen on two shows because of flooding problems for organisers.
The Bewdley scout and guide variety show was last week postponed because of the floods.
A cast of 250 was due to perform Stagestruck for three nights at Bewdley High School.
But the show was abandoned when the River Severn threatened to flood the basement. The school had already been closed to pupils.
Show co-producer Peter Johnson said: "The difficulties that audiences and performers faced in getting there proved too much. It's a great disappointment, but it was out of our control."
The show has been rescheduled for November 17 and 18.
People who bought tickets for the abandoned opening night will be able to re-use them on the new first night.
And the Bewdley BATS performance of Corpsing by Peter Barnes at the Rose Theatre, Kidderminster, has been cancelled.
The cast were unable to rehearse because of floods in Bewdley and anyone who bought tickets for the play, due to be staged for three days from Thursday, November 16, can call the Rose box office on 01562 743745.
