FUN-loving netball players are aiming to raise £1,000 for this year's Children in Need appeal.
But they may not be instantly recognisable, as men will play in women's kit and vice-versa to take part in the one-off fancy dress event at Wolverley High School.
The players, made up of individuals from several teams in the Kidderminster and Dis- trict Netball League, are entering in teams of eight and donating £5 each.
Tina Webster, who plays for Gourmets netball team and has organised Sunday's event, said: "It should be a really wonderful and colourful day.
"The men are going to dress up in skirts and whatever else the women would usually wear, while the women will strut their stuff in the mens clothes."
She added: "About 10 teams are expected to enter and Barclays Bank has agreed to match our fund-raising pound for pound, so we should reach somewhere near £1,000.
"We are also grateful to Wolverley High School for letting us use their netball courts. Now we are hoping for a decent day's weather for the occasion."
Anyone who would like to enter a team for the event, which takes place between 1.30-3.30pm, should call 01299 828494. Spectators are welcome on the day. Children in Need will be screened on BBC television on November 17 and 18.
