CHADDESLEY Corbett strolled into the Worcester Nursing Cup semi-finals with a comfortable 5-2 victory over Worcester League side Lamb and Flag.

But the visitors opened the scoring against the Banks's Brewery League side after just 10 minutes of play when Chaddesley midfielder Nicholas White was dispossessed and the ball reached Paul Bennett who stroked it home.

However, their lead was short-lived as Matt Boden fired two quick goals to put the home side ahead.

Simon Gill brought the scores level after some sloppy Chaddesley play with a low shot from just inside the area.

But Chris Bow calmly tucked away a through-ball from Richard Burton to regain the lead for Chaddesley.

Fine goalkeeping by Jamie Shepherd kept Lamb and Flag's hopes alive until Andrew Bayliss struck two good goals, putting Chaddesley firmly in control.

The two strikers - Baylis and Boden - were substituted with two players from the over-40s veterans side, Jeff Elliott and Kevin Truswell.

Fixture, Saturday: Old Hill Town v Chaddesley Corbett (Smedley Crooke Cup, players meet at the Land Oak at 12.15pm).
