BRINTONS swept through to the cup quarter-finals after an ill-tempered 3-2 victory over nine-man rivals Wyre Forest.
As the Banks's Brewery League side recorded their first win over Forest in recent seasons, both teams received yellow and red cards in a goal-less first half.
Richard Hughes put the visitors into the lead but Mark Dobbins equalised for Brintons when he headed home a Shaun Perry corner.
In his first game after a life-threatening head injury, John Maffei proved the match-winner with two strikes which gave Brintons a 3-1 lead.
Forest were down to nine men by now but they scored a consolation second four minutes from time through Mark Allen.
Fixtures, Saturday: Wyre Forest v Cadburys Reserves (Smedley Crooke Cup, 2pm, players report to the ground at 1pm).
