A DRUNKEN man ordered police out of his house, then threw a heavy ornament at them from the top of the stairs, Kidderminster magistrates heard.

Prosecutor Paul Whitfield said in the police car, Philip Hambrey punched PC Lloyd Davies.

Hambrey, 34, of Lea Street, Kidderminster, admitted assaulting the officer and was bailed for a pre-sentence report. He was bound over to keep the peace for six months, warned he could face a prison sentence and ordered to stay out of licensed premises until his next court appearance.
