PROMISING hockey star Tina Evans helped lead the Midlands U-16 girls to victory in a regional tournament at the National Stadium, Milton Keynes.
Vice-captain and sweeper Evans, 14, plays for Stourport Ladies 1sts and attends King Charles High School.
The Midlands only conceded four goals in as many matches, defeating the West 3-1, East 4-0 and South 3-2, only losing to the North 1-0.
It's the second time that Evans, of Spennells, has represented the age group - she took silver last year - and she will be eligible again next year.
In the past, she has received support from the Ray Mercer Sports Foundation.
