AMONG good Samaritans to emerge from the flood disaster in Bewdley were members of the Rotary Club.
They advertised their willingness to help with the massive clean-up operation once the floods recede and to give practical help to individuals whose homes have been affected.
Also volunteering to help out anyone with electrical worries as a result of the floods is retired electrician Brian Betmead, 64, of Lickhill Road, Stourport.
He said: "Of course I would like to help. You see all these things happening on television and its no good just sitting around sympathising."
Baptist Church volunteers running a rest and drying off service for flood workers and an information centre for residents during flood emergencies have been manning the centre on a 24-hour rota.
Spokesman John Iles said the number of people who had offered accommodation to people evacuated from their homes had impressed volunteers.
If anyone would like help to clean up after the floods, they can contact Mr Spohrer on 01299 400 108.
