OVERSEAS aid is on tap for the worst cases of flood distress thanks to the initiative of a Wyre Forest charity group
Kidderminster and District Lions Club zone organiser Graham Taylor has secured a $10,000 (£6,900) contribution to Worcestershire flood victims from a special disaster fund banked at Lions International head office in Illinois, USA.
He said: "It's a fund ready to use for this kind of thing so I got on to them at the weekend and established we could qualify to draw from it."
He was in touch with Worcestershire County Council to seek out cases of special need in terms of emergency clothing, bedding, food and cooking equipment.
