November 11, 1950

Nearly 200 parishoners and friends assembled in the village hall in Feckenham on Monday night to bid farewell to The Reverend A E L Walker, vicar of Feckenham and former rural dean, who has resigned the living and who will be leaving the district this week.

Mr G D I Rushton (vicar's warden) who was presiding, said it was a mark of esteem in which the vicar was held that so many people had come that night to bid him farewell. It was also a high tribute to his ministry among them for the past 14 years.

On behalf of the church council and parishoners of Feckenham and Ham Green, he expressed gratitude for all the work he had done, both in the church and parish and especially for all his work with the youth club.
