I was very concerned to read in the Advertiser/Messenger about the recent ferry delays.
I was a courier on the Harris Travel coach returning from Italy and the reality was that we were not given a choice to travel.
When we arrive at the docks in Calais we were informed of a one-hour delay. It was not until we were sailing aboard the Kent that we were advised by the captain of further delays.
As time went on we became very concerned for our passengers and made our own enquires through our office for further information. Unfortunately, the result was that we were aboard the boat for 22 hours. I would like to say a very big thank you, however, to all the P&O staff abroad who looked after us so well.
I would be grateful for P&O's comments on this because our passengers on reading this article may feel they were misled by ourselves.
