REDDITCH paralympian Richard White is aiming to repeat his medal-winning heroics at the World Championships in Paris next year.
The 18-year-old NEW College student won bronze in the 200m and 100m at Sydney and wants to go one better in the 100m, 200m and 400m in Paris.
I was so close to a silver in the 200 metres in Sydney that I know I can do it next time, said the Bromsgrove teenager.
Standing on the podium was fantastic, I was nearly in tears. I thought I had finished in fourth position in the 100 metres so when I saw the board and realised I had got third I jumped for joy.
The best part was being in the Olympic Stadium, being watched by thousands of people, my heart was racing and I was shaking in the blocks.
White returns to College on Friday and hopes to return to NEW College.
