BROMSGROVE'S poor run of form continued with this defeat against a mediocre Stratford outfit.
Town started brightly and Matt Russell had chances to score before Stratford scored from open play and then quickly despatched another from a penalty corner.
Despite being two-down at half time the mood was still positive and the second half was much brighter. Bromsgrove dominated large periods of play without creating many opportunities.
Clive Robinson had the best chance but was denied by the keeper. Town had the perfect chance to score when they were awarded a penalty flick after a foul on Paul Yates, but Russell put his flick wide. Minutes later Dave Bower scored one of many penalty corners and Robinson was again thwarted by an excellent save by the keeper. Stratford scored three more goals to seal victory. Captain Julian Court said: "We battled well but we didn't create enough chances and those we did create we didn't put away". Man of the match was Simon Hateley.
