BUSES across Worcestershire were today suffering long delays built up after the closure of Worcester Bridge.
Austin Birks, spokesman of First Midland Red, said while as many services as possible were running as normal, vehicles were being delayed because of the diversions. He added the floods had also meant the closure of the bus station with all services running from the city's Corn Market.
"It is difficult to run to the timetable because to the congestion around Worcester," he said.
"There is also a shuttle bus service from Dines Green, Henwick Park, Lower Wick and Rushwick, which will take passengers into St John's to use shops and facilities. People can also use the shuttle service to get into the city via the 49."
"The 49 bus is operating between the Corn Market and St John's Bull Ring via the new bridge, and the 44 is running from Corn Market to Malvern."
