Foster claims fridge, kettle
LAWYERS could be called in to resolve a Commons divorce row.
A couple of hundred MPs have moved into the new £231m Portcullis House office block opposite Big Ben.
A bargain at £1m an MP, and their staff, but that's another story!
Though this has left more space in other parliamentary buildings. Worcester Labour MP Mike Foster and Shrewsbury MP Paul Marsden have shared a room in the Norman Shaw North complex for the last three-and-a-half years. But now they are being offered an office each.
''We have got to separate the fridge, the kettle, the sofa and the fan,'' explains Mr Foster.
He will settle for the fridge and the kettle. ''But we have got to negotiate that,'' he quips.
