REDDITCH United will travel to Unibond League Premier Division side Hucknall Town in the second round of the FA Umbro Trophy on December 2 after a fine 3-1 win over Grantham Town on Saturday.
The visitors, currently riding high in the Dr Martens League Eastern Division, took the lead after only five minutes through striker Andy Furnell.
But Redditch hit back strongly and Paul Danks, Matt Hall and Ian Bennett all went close before Danks equalised on 29 minutes, although Grantham protested that Hall was offside as he appeared to get the final touch.
The turning point came on 52 minutes when Grantham 'keeper Mario Ziccardi was sent off by Swadlincote referee Mr B. Edwards after fouling Danks outside his area.
Defender Tim Wilkes had to go in goal but held out until 10 minutes from time when Danks lashed home a fierce shot from 10 yards.
Reds gained a flattering margin of victory in the third minute of stoppage time when Hall's cross cannoned into the net off Grantham defender Wayne Hallcro.
