THE Morgan Car Company could have a new workshop built at its Malvern Link factory if planners agree.
The proposed expansion is a result of the success of the firm's new Aero 8 sports car, which has just had its UK launch at the Motor Show in Birmingham.
The new building will be set aside for final assembly of the Aero 8, which has been praised by the motoring Press.
"At the moment, it's just an area at the back of the site which we use for car parking, but there's plenty of space to park elsewhere," said manufacturing manager Steve Morris.
A planning application has been submitted for the new workshop.
