JOHN Buchan's thrilling The 39 Steps has been adapted for stage and is coming to the Everyman in Cheltenham.
The story is that of bored Scotsman, Richard Hannay, who is living in London and walks into his flat one day to find a man murdered on his carpet.
Finding himself framed for the dastardly deed, he is suddenly plunged into a world of mystery and intrigue where he must unearth the mystery of the 39 steps.
Simon Williams, whose credits include Upstairs Downstairs, Don't Wait Up and Prisoner of Zenda, plays Hannay, while George Sewell, of Rising Damp and Get Carter, plays Professor Blackthorne.
The 39 Steps is showing from Tuesday, November 7 until Saturday, November 11.
Tickets are priced between £6.50 and £16.50 and available from the box office on 01242 572573.
