EVESHAM United have signed Worcester City midfielder John Deakin on loan for a second month.
Deakin has impressed during his first month at Common Road. Robins boss Phil Mullen is keen to make the deal permanent, saying: "He has certainly added to our midfield and we look a bit more polished now."
Deakin should play in tomorrow's FA Umbro Trophy first round tie at Ryman League Division One side Leatherhead (3pm), although the game is in considerable doubt due to a flooded Fetcham Grove pitch. An inspection is planned for 9.30am tomorrow.
Steve Taylor is unlikely to be fit for the Robins because of a knee problem, but Russell Parmenter has shaken off a rib injury.
Evesham (from): Beattie, Smith, Pendleton, West, Powell, Deakin, Bowen, Wolsey, McCartan, Pratt, Roberts, Brown, Preedy, Parmenter.
