ACCORDING to D E Margrett, we anti-European people pluck figures out of the air (You Say, October 21). Accurate research shows that Britain's direct financial input into Europe is £1.25m per hour, which, according to my calculations, is £11bn a year.

Blair is currently signing over our sovereignty and our country (not his) away, to European domination. It will be useless ever again to vote for MPs in Westminster Parliament as it will cease to exist as a parliament.

Little does Blair realise that revolution is well on its way, and we, the British people will not accept European take-over, any more than we were prepared to accept it in 1940.

Accurate figures show that it costs the average family in Britain £600 a year to be part of the "European Union" (which is not a union, just a dictatorship), and history shows just how British people deal with dictators.

"Euro MPs" are only allowed 90 seconds of speech time, and only on subjects laid down by Brussels, which has deliberately destroyed our once efficient farming and fishing industries for their own convenience. These are the facts, not speculation.

There is as much chance of promoting peace and friendship in Europe as there is in Palestine and Ireland, which even modern history has proved to be impossible.

In 1946, I was a member of the British fighting forces trying to keep the peace in Palestine on both sides. No chance.

If D E Margrett thinks the French in particular could now be our friends, and no longer enemies, I suggest that he goes and lives among them to find out.

He would be sorely disillusioned. A Blair vote in the next election is just a vote for European domination and nothing else. Get real, Mr Margrett. We want our country back.
