Pinvin Parish Council: The Parish Council has co-opted Dave Biddle to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Peter Parker. The Clerk reported that Wychavon District Council had assured us that the new dog bin would be installed on the green within the next two weeks. The Dog Warden will be carrying out visits to the playing fields during dog walking times to help urge dog owners to clear up after their pets. The Chairman reported on further correspondence over the Council's concern that traffic problems in the village, particularly Terrace Road, will increase should the Wyre Piddle Bypass be built. The Accounts for 1999/2000 have been reviewed by the Auditors who have requested a number of minor changes before they will be approved. The Council expressed concern that the requirements seem to be different each year, and will raise this both with CALC and with the auditors. On advice from the auditors, the Council agreed to raise the fidelity insurance from £2000 to £10000. The Council agreed to proceed with a housing needs survey. Councillors Steve Mitchell, Richard Elliott and Rob Mustard will undertake this. The Clerk was asked to raise yet again the problem of blocked drains at the bottom of Terrace Road. Car Parking outside the schools at the end of the school day has again become a problem, with parents blocking the footway and forcing those with pushchairs to walk on the road. The Council agreed to bring this problem directly to the notice of the drivers concerned. Problems continue with the Varnicoat site, with many residents complaining about noise from the site particularly from high-pressure steam escapes. This has been drawn to the attention of the Varnicoat management. The Council also noted that the works at the font of the new building had not been completed. This will be raised with both Varnicoat and Wychavon planning department. The next meeting will be on November 14 at 7.30pm in Pinvin Memorial Hall.
