Villages' Hall: A meeting of the management committee was held on October 16. Apologies: Mrs A Bufton, Mrs LSmith, Mrs J Davies, Mr M Holden.Present: Mrs L Cameron, Mr R Ockenden, Mr M Johnes, Mr P Charlesworth, Mrs C Ockenden, Mrs S Griffith, Mr R Wood.

Treasurer's report: R Wood reported that public liability insurance stands at £5 million, employers liability £10 million, contents insurance £5,000 and buildings insurance £350,000.

Chairman's Report: The Chairman asked the Secretary to print out a complete list of trustees to place on the notice board outside the hall. Mr R Ockenden has obtained quotes for plastering the hall which he will pass on to Messrs Hartley, Dickinson and McGinity, who have kindly agreed to raise funds. Grants for resurfacing the car park and other areas have also been received. The Chairman is now in possession of a Fire Safety Log Book to be filled out monthly when fire alarm is tested. The Chairman had received no news of the grant for children's paved area from Npower. Wychavon DC has approved five new seating plans for the All's entertainment licence. A new licence for the 100 club must be applied for. The floor problems have been traced to the adhesive and testing should confirm this. New handles and draught excluders have been fitted to the front door. The kitchen has also received some attention with new tiling and a new position for the fridge. The hedges are to be trimmed at a cost of £30. Security was questioned by S Griffith who suggested CCTV on front door for those in upstairs function room. Following comments from hirers the pool table is to be moved to upstairs function room.

Fund-raising: A weekly market/table top sale was suggested. Mrs L Cameron and Mrs A Bufton have organised a children's disco to be held on December 4 from 3.30-6pm. The price is to be £3 which is to include a drink and snack. Posters to be distributed in local schools and shops. An advert is to be place in the parish magazine to see if there is any interest in a new year's party. It was proposed by Mrs C Ockenden and seconded by Mr M Johnes that Mr P Charlesworth be co-opted onto the committee following his resignation as church representative. 100 club. Bishampton Tiddlers: A jumble sale is to be held on Saturday from 2-4pm at the villages' hall. Proceeds are to be donated to hall funds. Anyone with jumble may call Mrs L Cameron on 01386 462740 or Mrs A Bufton on 01386 20462524, or bring it along to the hall on the day of the sale before 2pm.
